The original Brendan Gallery,
formerly on Casey Key Beach in Nokomis, Florida. It was a wonderful
spot that allowed Nicole and me to initiate our business and
along the way make wonderful friends. We closed the gallery at
the end of 2004 to pursue working from our new home studio.

Our
NEW Home Studio
Nicole and I bought a house in
Nokomis in 2004 (around the time 4 hurricanes hit the gulf coast!).
It's on a lake where we see wildlife daily, including great blue
herons, ibis, egrets, river otters, alligators, wood ducks, woodpeckers,
barred owls, mallards and lots of fish. After lots of work, our
studio now looks like this. Nicole is typically at the computer
and I'm at my new easel -- we both enjoy our new space, as well
as, the views outside the back door.

The Wedding of the Century
(that's just what we like to call it!)
Nicole & I got married on
April 22, 2005. Casey Key Beach in Nokomis holds a long history
of our time together, including being the site of the Brendan
Gallery, so it was only fitting to have the ceremony there. It
was a beautiful night on the beach -- the sunset was spectacular,
the moon was full, the breeze cool, and the 100+ guests enjoyed
a night under the stars in a brightly lit tent.

Snorkeling with Manatees
Nicole and I visited Crystal
River, Florida in October, '04. It was her first experience swimming
with manatees, and it hooked her for more visits! We saw hundreds
with their calves, plus some huge tarpon and snook lurking near
the warm outflow of the Spring. Even though manatees are a protected
species, they're still in jeopardy due to heavy boat traffic
on the gulf coast, and when the water gets cold, they seek the
sanctuary and warm water of the Spring. The day inspired the
piece on our home page:
